Problem:

Sensory toys are often targeted at neurodivergent children, leaving a gap in the market for adults who are also neurodivergent. As a result, those adults also feel embarrassed to go out and buy it.

Opportunity:

Neurodivergent friendly subscription service that includes sensory toys every month based off the customer’s sensorial preferences

Benefits:

Sensory toys provide an avenue for self-expression, sensory regulation, & comfort in a world often overwhelming to them.

Reimagining Sensory Tools: A Personal Journey to Adult-Centered Design

As someone who processes the world a bit differently, I've always struggled to find sensory tools that don't feel like they were made for kids. Learning that 15-20% of adults share this experience inspired me to create Senso.

Tone of Voice

With Senso's I wanted to offer a comforting voice that really gets their needs, while its sleek design reimagines stim toys for the modern world . Senso wants to nurture and celebrate the complex sensory lives of neurodivergent individuals in a sometimes overwhelming world.

Textures Moodboard

As I explored these textures and colors, I found that these squishy textures are a lifeboat in overwhelming situations. Whether it's the calming effect of a stress ball or the mesmerizing flow of slime, these toys offer a discreet way for adults to self-regulate and find comfort in a world that can sometimes feel like sensory overload.

I recognised that neurodivergence isn't one-size-fits-all – it's as unique to each individual – which is why I've poured my heart into crafting sensory tools that honour each person's story.

Senso immersive exhibition partnered with mind.org, consumers will experience all five of their senses.
